I've just realised why i don't read a lot of comics or manga or the like: THERE ARE SO MANY TO READ AND THEY'RE ALL SO GOOD!
You may call me bias if you want but there are so many things a comic can offer that there is always at least ONE things that i love about it. Most of the time it's how different the art is and that kinda hurts coz then i think 'hey, i wanna draw like that' and i try and i get impatient and i give up and i go and cry in the corner (theoretically speaking). There are just soooo many different types of graphic novels and manga and comics and other drawn stories that have COMPLETELY DIFFERENT NAMES that i haven't come across yet that checking out ALL of them seems PRETTY MUCH IMPOSSIBLE (sorry bout the caps lock, kiddies, mummy's having a 'loud' day). Well, it seems that way anyways.
Brain: you've got like a whole life time.
me: *sigh* I know i do but that doesn't make the task any easier for me RIGHT NOW. I mean, WHERE THE HELL DO I START! XO
I wanna learn what i can from all these cool artists and i wanna get enthralled by their stories but there are just too many too choose from. *Looks suspiciously at brain* I know what you're ganna say 'Just choose somewhere to start from and go from there', but it's not that easy. Too often i hit brick walls and i wobble and i don't know where to go next or i lose interest. Sure, that's something everyone goes through, but that doesn't mean they really know how to deal with it - I know i don't. It doesn't make getting back on track any easier to 'start i one place and go from there' because if you start then you know you'll have to stop some time, and if you stop there's no telling if you're ganna stop for good. And that would be terrible because i don't wanna stop but too often i do it takes me ages before i feel the inspiration to start again. And then it starts to get to you. You stop and start and stop and start so often that you start to think 'maybe this all isn't worth it' and you know in your heart of hearts that it would all just be easier if you crawled back into your little shell of ignorance and slept forever....
O.O Duuuude that sounds morbid and depressing.
I suppose what i'm trying to say there is that there are so many path was out there that it's easy to just give up on one and go to the next one, on to the next goal you'll never be bothered to reach. Ever feel like that? Sure ya do, it's just a matter putting your mind to it they say...Well it's also a matter of putting your heart into it and keeping it there, making it a part of your soul.
Brain: wholey crap, how'd we get from comics into another one of you 'this is wisdom...i think' moments??? -,.,-<- (it's supposed to be Confucius aka a man with a long mustache)
me:O.o I...don't...know...You know how it works, these things just happen out of the blue. Doesn't matter if i'm right or not it just decides 'hey, you gotta say something smart because you think too much' and a-walla i can come up with the most random shit.
Brain: makes ya feel like you're getting somewhere too, i s'pose.
me: pro'bly. Now where was I? You know what? I think i was finished.
brain: finished ranting about 'sticking with it, dude' or with the whole blog?
Me: just that rant. I'm still planing to rant about the comics.
brain: really? What else is there? you don't know that much about them. you've barely tried reading any. i think you're just scared you won't like them.*smug look*
me:yeeeah, weeelll...you're probably right. I'm afraid that i won't like them BUT i'm also afraid that i'll be swallowed up by a sea, and ocean, of choice and that i'll lose my love of drawing because i can't draw shit compared to the brilliance of the experts-
brain: which is rather silly coz you've got 'your whole life ahead of you' and, let's face it, you've barely even tried.
me: *sigh* you wouldn't understand. -_-
brain: does it go something along the lines of 'would all just be easier if you crawled back into your little shell of ignorance and slept forever'....
me: something like that, yes. And you can't blame ME for that, that's just the way we're brought up these days. 'Take the easy road. Even though we TELL you the hard road has better rewards no one wants to get hurt, do they? So just run along and play with the rules and guidelines we've given you so you don't have to figure it out yourself, there's a good girl.' I know they just want me to grow up well and not make bad decisions-
brain: oh no. here we go again *roles eyes*
me: -but that makes us scared to do the wrong thing. What are we ganna discover if we cling to your rules and your guidance, hum?
brain:*aside* oh, woe is me.
me: and now we're too afraid to do the wrong thing and to go off the easy way because we don't want to upset you. Humanity is never going to advance if we don't try new things and go out there and FIND THINGS OUT FOR OURSELVES!
brain: alright alright, that's quite enough of that. I think your problem here is that you're too afraid to brake your own rules. Sure, they were 'theirs' once, but you've turned them into your own. -
me: it's not just the rules. It's all the advice they give you. You accept it willingly and then you ask questions and then you ask questions they think are obvious and then they think you're weak and inexperienced - which you very well might be but when you're our age you should really try to find your own way of finding out - and then they start babying you and telling you things YOU ALREADY KNEW without you even asking them, and then you get sloppy and start acting like a baby because they're doing everything for you...*pant pant*
brain:...you better now?
me: a little.
brain: you've been holding that one in a long time, haven't you
me: *hangs head* s'pose
brain: you do realise you're still a little kid, despite what you may think and what your age may tell you, right?
m: yeah, but isn't everyone?
brain: the sort of responsibility that you're yearning for is not what you need right now...either that or it's something that you'll only get when you take the plunge. You can't take it then go back to the way it was. There are still things that you can learn from your current state, the way that they currently treat you. Throwing a hissy fit isn't going to change that.
me: you know i just like throwing hissy fits to release pressure.
brain: but you also need to be told off for throwing those hissy fits, you need logic - well, your form of it - to put things back into place. Oh my word we've gone off topic! First it was comics then it was the fickleness of ones heart, rebelling against ones elders...deary me...
O.O -.- O.O
Okey...that was one weird conversation...I hope i get to read this one again someday. It's kinda freaky how i can just let myself talk to myself...sure that didn't make any sense but neither does ya face.
Night busy bodies!
Yours,
Ristro
p.s. i SWEAR i'm sane. things just seem a little...O.o sometimes...o.O

Wecome back to the catacombs, my lovelies! MAWHAHAHAHA!!!
I'm BAAAAAAaaaaack!
Yep, after a brief...um, rather long hiatus i've finally returned to regale you with tales wonder and um, other stuff.
...
Well, i was going to but now i can't remember all of the stories i was going to regale you with. Hence, i shall make them up on the spot...as i always do...
Anywho, where to start...Truth is i can't remember when the last time i posted was and, you know me, can't be bothered to find out. So let's just start from the dysfunction of my laptop, shall we?
Yeah, kinda downloaded a 'super worm' onto it and i couldn't do a thing so we sent it down to a friend of ours and...
You know what? i think DRACULA'S!!!! was before that so let's start there.
brain: you haven't thought this out at all, have you?
me: 'course not! that's what we call 'making them up on the spot.' You follow?
brain: i's just not considerate to your reader/s. that's all i'm sayin.
me: oh...fooy to you.
Back to the story. Dracula's is THA BOMB! My sister and i went there for one of her besty's birthday. They've got a supposedly 'pirate' show going at the moment (it's not really, there are like 2 piraty acts in the whole show) so i dressed up as a pirate X); coz that's what you do when you go to Drac.'s : you dress up and try to look as sleazy or creepy as possible.
-Sorry bout my grammar n stuff ladies and gents. i'm not really thinking coherently it being Christmas n all. :)-
I felt so proud when we got there. One of the Draculets tried to steal my sward and i was called a pirate wench AND a filthy pirate whore *.* One of them actually spoke to me in line :)...Turns out he was our Draculet for the evening. That's kinda creepy but i have the feeling that he asked the person with the entrance list whether we were in his group...or something...
Anywho, i know now that whenever i go to Drac.s i NEEEEEEDD props. There's something about the atmosphere that sends me in to a crazy ticking, touching, excited frenzy. I was literally shaking. I s'pose I'm not the only one but i didn't really notice. I'm hoping to go as a mentally disturbed child next time...or something like that.
On to the next thing. What is the next thing? I s'pose, my sister's tourettes. It gets worse when she drinks and when she's excited. She was throwing herself all over the place! They probably thought she was putting it on but nooooo way. It was rather entertaining X)
What next? I still need to work on posing in the Draculet photos. I managed to point my gun at the heart of the Draculet standing beside me but my facial expression's pretty lame.
I didn't drink much. I started off really quick but i'm a real light weight so i started to feel sick as soon as dinner was served. I didn't drink anything else after that.
Um...I horded the knives X) That came in handy coz the girl beside me dropped her knife at the beginning of the night. Love how that worked.
The performers forgot their lines once, that was during the pirate sketch. I love it when that happens coz it shows that they're human and probably rather tipsy ;)
Oh oh! the knew main dude, Luck something rather, hot!...well, hottest of the performers, anyway...in my opinion.
I like Jelly shots.
There was a drunken lout in our section that kept heckling and he broke something like 4 glasses. THAT was annoying.
I MUST GO TO DRACULA'S WITH MY FRIENDS!!!! It is a must and i am writing it in stone right here and now. It'll probably happen the middle of next year sometime but go we MUUUUUSSSTT!! Even if we drive there and drive back, or sleep in our cars, it must be done.
Whew! now, what's next. Agh, so much to cover!
brain: what about your laptop. you should finish talking about that before you talk about anything else.
Aw yeah! My laptop got this worm and they had it for about 3 weeks. during that time i kept thinking about what i could write in this blog. Funny how you only think of things to write or say when you can't. Why couldn't i use the new computer, you ask? Because blogging, for me anyway, is a personal thing. I can't write personal things in the living room, that just feels creepy(hum, creepy seems to be the word of the day, strange that). Anyway, the dropped my precious around on Tuesday but with some kinda cryptic instructions. I also had to work...But yes, they came over last night for Chrisy eve and explained but i didn't get time to try it out until after we'd gone to church and opened some pressies and had lunch and all that jazz.
I s'pose the next topic of rant would be Christmas. There've been other things in between now and the last time i posted (mum's performance with the choir, Chrisy party with friends, first night 'clubing', just random shiz plus some conspiracy theories that i'm thinking twice about posting), but Christmas is now and there's no time like the present! Christmas, for me, began with me going to bed. We'd had our normal neighbour Chrissy eve bash on the drive way and it finished at 11.30. Then we had to wake up at 8 to get ready to pick up gran and go to Church at 9.30. Church lasted an hour. Sarah was ticking through the whole thing, which was strange because she'd had her tablet meaning she shouldn't've been ticking.
What next? They had balloons all over the place so we took some home.
Now for the big one. Presents!...welll sorta. Our family doesn't do the whole 'everyone-sit-around-the-tree-and-open-them-at-the-same-time'. Mum n dad are usually still preparing Christmas lunch so we have to either wait for them to finish or do it at the same time...if that makes sense. And it's nice for us all be together at the time. Sarah n i also have this thing about things being fare and people taking it in turns to open presents.
But what was i saying??? Oh yeah. The presents i got.
I got:
- a nail polish set thing.
-two books that i wanted
-a bracelet
-a bag and a pen clip thing
-um...snowman soup from one of my workmates
-and two stuffed toys (XD) A cat and a baby dragon THEY'RE SO CUTE AND FLUUUFFEEE!!!!
I also got a secret Santa at my friends Christmas part-y: a big box of Favorites and a neat pen. The Favorites lasted all of...two days. And i ate them all myself -.-
All in all, not a particularly easy to understand blog entry but, hey, i needed to get it off my chest. It's been such a long time since i felt like bloging and now that i do it all sorta came out at once. ^.^'
I worked Christmas eve and i'm working again on boxing day. Should be 'lots of fun'. Wish me luck!
